Story of the J Wiki

This page documents the development of the J wiki. Originally, the J wiki was developed in Moin Moin and then later transferred to MediaWiki. Over the years, it has become a vast repository of information with highly valued contributions from many authors. Particularly of note is NuVoc, an online reference created by Ian Clark, Henry Rich and others. NuVoc has become the preferred reference for the J language. In November of 2021 a process was undertaken to create a more modern look and one that users would find easier to navigate and search. In addition to the changes made to the J Wiki there were side projects such as the the "J Playground" and the "J Viewer" that emerged from these discussions.

J Wiki Meeting Minutes

You can follow the discussions that took place over a 4 year period as the J Wiki assumed its present form on the J Wiki Minutes page.
